About The Position

The Facility Manager is responsible for uptime of all machines in the Houston shop, including lathes, other machines, forklifts, and cranes. The role troubleshoots machines and equipment; manages and applies for permits and licenses required by the Fire Marshall and City of Houston; and oversees maintenance of buildings and grounds. The Facility Manager also oversees contractors working on facility renovation projects involving HVAC, electrical systems, and production floor arrangements. The position leads and directs the work of others and performs other duties of a similar or lesser nature as required.

Work is performed primarily in an environment without temperature controls, with a high noise level. Appropriate personal protective equipment is required.

Requirements

• May require a bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of experience in the field.
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a field.
• Familiarity with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures within a field.
• Extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Ability to troubleshoot a variety of machines and equipment.
• Management and leadership of a team.
• Management of permits and licenses.
• Organizational skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to accurately document data.
