About The Position

The Facility Manager is responsible for maintaining uptime for all machines in the Houston shop, including lathes, other machines, forklifts, and cranes. The role troubleshoots machinery and equipment, manages required permits and licenses, and oversees building and grounds maintenance. It also oversees contractors working on facility renovation projects involving HVAC, electrical systems, and production-floor arrangements. The manager leads and directs the work of others and performs other duties of a similar or lesser nature as required.

Work is performed primarily in an environment without temperature controls, with a high noise level. Appropriate personal protective equipment is required.

Requirements

• May require a bachelor’s degree and at least 10 years of experience in the field.
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a field.
• Familiarity with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures within a field.
• Extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Ability to troubleshoot a variety of machines and equipment.
• Management and leadership of a team.
• Ability to manage permits and licenses.
• Organizational skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to accurately document data.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage maintenance of buildings and grounds.
• Oversee contractors for facility renovation projects involving HVAC, electrical systems, and production-floor arrangements.

• Perform other duties of a similar or lesser nature as required.
