Under general supervision, this role works independently performing routine general maintenance and repair throughout the warehouse. The technician will be responsible for a variety of tasks including repairs and adjustments to doors, dock levelers, freezer doors, sprinkler systems, and electrical work in accordance with OSHA Standards. They will also perform basic maintenance and repairs on roofing systems, and routine maintenance on office and break room HVAC systems. Inspections of other operating equipment to ensure compliance with OSHA and operational standards, and testing, maintaining, and evaluating equipment performance using instruments are key duties. The role requires maintaining tools and machinery in good condition, maintaining batteries and chargers, and conducting tests of safety equipment. Accurate preventive maintenance records must be maintained. The technician must follow attendance policy, answer security alarm calls as needed, and keep the work area clean. Routine maintenance on external equipment and grounds, including snow removal, painting, and paving repairs, may also be required. The position requires the ability to work flexible shifts, including on-call duties, and perform related work as assigned.
