About The Position

Arcosa Wind Towers, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of structural wind towers in North America. The Facility Maintenance Technician will use blueprints, schematics, small/power tools, and electronic test equipment to perform a variety of maintenance tasks and determine causes of operating problems in areas including but not limited to, plumbing, electrical systems/components, HVAC, carpentry, electrical fixtures/switches/power sources, and mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment. The job location is Newton, IA. As an important member of the team, the technician will be responsible for activating the potential of people, caring for customers, optimizing operations, and integrating sustainability into daily practices and long-term strategy, promoting a results-driven culture aligned with long-term value creation.

Requirements

Up to 2 Years of experience (Preferred Experience)
NAPA70E Certification (Arcosa will train and certify)
Carpentry skills
Plumbing skills
Ability to read, write and speak proficiently in English

Responsibilities

Maintain attendance within acceptable standards
Perform basic preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment such as motors, conveyers, mechanical components or electrical wiring and electrical components for production equipment
Perform basic troubleshooting/single phase/240v
Perform complex repairs on production equipment motors and mechanical components including pneumatics and hydraulics
Perform basic carpentry and plumbing repairs
May tack weld (stick or MIG) for minor repairs
Troubleshoot breakdowns on production equipment and mechanical components
Wire electrical panels
Install equipment from the ground up
Break down and repair and/or rebuild
Be aware of and observe all safety practices. Including but not limited to- Safety glasses, safety boots, hearing protection, etc… as required
Know and follow all safety rules and procedures.
Participate in safety committees and initiatives as assigned.
