Facility Maintenance Supervisor
About The Position
Freedom Behavioral Hospital of Bastrop is hiring a motivated and experienced Plant Operations Manager to support its growing team. The position is responsible for the hospital’s overall safety and operations related to Environment of Care and Life Safety. The Plant Operations Manager serves on the hospital Safety/Environment of Care Committee and the Hazardous Materials and Waste Subcommittee, considering the safety of patients, visitors, and employees in relation to physical surroundings, work processes, and operational procedures. The role oversees maintenance, housekeeping, and transportation departments for the designated hospital and campus. It is responsible for maintaining and improving the physical plant, including buildings, grounds, and other maintenance needs, and for environmental services operations focused on patient, employee, and family safety. Previous experience in a healthcare setting is a plus. Selected applicants must undergo a post-offer drug test and federal background investigation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in the building trades.
- At least three years of experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, long-term care facility, or other healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of The Joint Commission standards, Environment of Care requirements, Life Safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Selected applicants must pass a post-offer drug test and federal background investigation.
