About The Position

Under the direction of the Section Manager, Facilities Maintenance, or designee, the Facilities Maintenance Specialist ensures in-house garage personnel perform work in accordance with preventive maintenance books and supervises work done by outside contractors who performs contract maintenance and repairs. Essential functions include: Oversees contracted maintenance and repair activities, inspecting contractor work to ensure it meets the defined scope and complies with repair orders. Processing work orders and reports. Reviewing, scheduling and prioritizing contracted maintenance activities. Inspecting facilities and troubleshooting problems. Ensuring internal maintenance procedures are followed. Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma
Minimum of 6-9 years’ work experience of mechanical, building automation systems, diesel tanks, building construction experience
Vocational training in blueprint reading, system refrigerant recovery and electrical theory
Good work history
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel)
Good written and oral communication skills
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and troubleshooting skills
Valid driver's license with a safe driving history
Able to stand for extended periods of time
Able to lift objects weighing up to 100 lbs.

Nice To Haves

Proficiency with Oracle is a plus.
