About The Position
Under the direction of the Section Manager, Facilities Maintenance, or designee, the Facilities Maintenance Specialist ensures in-house garage personnel perform work in accordance with preventive maintenance books and supervises work done by outside contractors who performs contract maintenance and repairs.
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Minimum of 6-9 years’ work experience of mechanical, building automation systems, diesel tanks, building construction experience and vocational training in blueprint reading, system refrigerant recovery and electrical theory
- Good work history
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel)
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and troubleshooting skills
- Valid driver's license with a safe driving history
- Able to stand for extended periods of time
- Able to lift objects weighing up to 100 lbs.
Nice To Haves
- Proficiency with Oracle
Responsibilities
- Oversees contracted maintenance and repair activities, inspecting contractor work to ensure it meets the defined scope and complies with repair orders.
- Processing work orders and reports.
- Reviewing, scheduling and prioritizing contracted maintenance activities.
- Inspecting facilities and troubleshooting problems.
- Ensuring internal maintenance procedures are followed.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
