About The Position

Senior LIFE is seeking a dedicated, hardworking Facility Manager for its healthcare center in Reading, Pennsylvania. Senior LIFE provides comprehensive medical, social, nutritional, and rehabilitation services to older adults, along with in-home nursing, personal care, and other homecare services. Its team-based program helps seniors remain independent and live safely in their communities. The Facility Manager oversees the center’s facilities and environmental services, maintaining standards for cleanliness, sanitation, and general maintenance. The role also chairs the Safety Committee and works with LIFE Center staff on environmental, safety, and facilities matters. The position reports directly to the center’s Executive Director.

Requirements

At least two years of experience in a relevant field.
At least one year of experience working in a nursing home or other health or social services environment.
High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

Develop and oversee goals and objectives for the Environmental Services Department.
Handle new problems and situations efficiently and effectively as they arise.
Research, recommend, and purchase facilities equipment and supplies.
Arrange fire drills and train staff and members in critical disaster safety procedures.
Establish preventative safety measures for the center.
Coordinate medical equipment delivery to in-home members.
Maintain and repair homebound members’ medical equipment.
Update material data safety sheets as required.
Perform center maintenance, including light drywall repair, tile replacement, light plumbing, and light fixture repair.
Chair the Safety Committee and work with other LIFE Center staff on environmental, safety, and facilities issues.
