About The Position

Amentum is seeking a Facility Maintenance Custodian in Las Vegas, Nevada. Under general supervision and direction from a Facility Maintenance Manager, this employee cleans and maintains designated office, workspace, warehouse, storage, and related areas in an orderly condition. The role supports the facility’s attractiveness, safety, and functionality through custodial work, minor maintenance and repairs, supply inventory management, and meeting or conference setup. Work is performed in a lighted, heated, and ventilated business office, workspace, or warehouse environment. The position involves frequent standing, walking, reaching, and working in tiring or uncomfortable positions; regular handling and lifting; and exposure to various mechanical, environmental, and electrical hazards. Required protective equipment may include gloves, a hard hat, eye protection, and other PPE.

Requirements

Two years of custodial experience, including proper selection and application of cleaning solutions and other materials, and operation of custodial equipment.
At least one year of experience performing light maintenance and repairs described in the responsibilities.
Proficiency in the use of hand tools and light power tools.
Experience establishing and maintaining inventory stock levels of job-related supplies.
Valid state-issued driver’s license.
Ability to qualify for and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required to obtain the clearance.

Responsibilities

Clean and maintain building interiors, offices, workspaces, hallways, storage and warehouse areas, restrooms, windows, kitchen areas, and associated spaces.
Remove trash; sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, clean, wash, wax, and buff designated areas.
Perform maintenance and minor repairs to facility infrastructure and equipment, including plumbing, carpentry, touch-up painting, air filters, drywall or plaster, toilets, locks, water purifiers, and lighting fixtures.
Maintain adequate inventory of hygiene and cleaning supplies for routine requirements.
Pick up or deliver parts, supplies, and equipment as needed.
Prepare, reconfigure, and set up tables, desks, chairs, and coffee bar or food and drink service for meetings and conferences.
Perform other position-related duties as assigned or requested.
