About The Position

The Facility Housekeeping Technician helps keep YMCA facilities clean, clear, and inviting for participants. The role includes a variety of cleaning and facility-support tasks, assisting with meeting and special-event setups, and responding to housekeeping emergencies. The position is full-time and offers a salary of $13.00.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of relevant experience.
• Ability to work independently and maintain a high level of performance.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment, including vacuums and buffers.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemical capabilities, mixing proportions, and use, as well as maintenance and care of finished surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Keep assigned areas clean and clear for YMCA participants.
• Perform cleaning activities such as sweeping and mopping.
• Assist with setup for meetings and special events.
• Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of storage rooms, offices, kitchens, and bathrooms.
• Assist with laundry functions as needed.
• Respond to accidents, spills, and other housekeeping emergencies.
