About The Position

Osi Vision is seeking a part-time Animal Housekeeping Facility worker to support the Military Working Dog Hospital at JBSA-Lackland. The role provides housekeeping and janitorial services in office and animal husbandry areas, including office spaces, common walkways, lobbies, restrooms, locker rooms, clinical laboratories, kennels, and associated equipment. The position requires general to advanced housekeeping and janitorial knowledge. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. Required training, certifications, immunizations, and medical testing are employer-paid.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Extensive organizational skills.
Ability to focus and give great attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, adapt to change, and balance multiple parallel actions.
Animal Care and Handling certification or Canine Caretakers Course; required, with training paid for by the employer.
Basic Life Support training and certification; required, with training paid for by the employer.
Immunizations and medical testing before the start date; paid for by the employer.

Responsibilities

Sweep, mop, and vacuum flooring throughout the facilities.
Spot-clean spills and stains as needed.
Clean and maintain restrooms and locker rooms, including replenishing consumables such as hand soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
Empty trash and collect recyclable materials throughout the facility.
Strip, wax, and maintain composite flooring.
Dust and clean vertical and horizontal surfaces up to 10 feet, including light fixtures.
Clean and maintain surfaces in common areas, clinical laboratories, offices, and animal husbandry and kennel areas.
Clean windows.
Collect and store linen items.
Maintain the exterior facility, including picking up trash, cleaning table surfaces, and pressure-washing or rinsing specified areas.
Clean and disinfect kennel areas.
Remove animal feces and urine as needed throughout the facility.
Support the collection and storage of regulated medical waste.
