About The Position
YMCA Housekeeping Staff help create a clean environment where members, guests, and participants feel safe and welcome. The role includes cleaning workout areas and equipment, restrooms, locker rooms, and common areas, along with basic property upkeep. Staff interact with visitors, build relationships, respond to facility and equipment requests or concerns, and provide information. This position is part of a nonprofit organization committed to strengthening the community.
Responsibilities
- Clean workout areas and equipment, restrooms, locker rooms, and common areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, sanitize, and remove trash.
- Perform basic property upkeep, which may include pulling weeds and picking up trash.
- Interact and communicate with members, guests, and participants to build relationships.
- Assist with equipment and facility requests or concerns and provide information.
