About The Position
YMCA Housekeeping Staff help create a clean environment where people can feel safe and welcome while working toward health and wellness goals or participating in YMCA programs. The role performs basic cleaning and property upkeep and interacts with members, guests, and participants. Housekeeping Staff contribute to the YMCA’s community-focused mission and help make a positive impression on facility visitors.
Responsibilities
- Clean workout areas and equipment, restrooms, locker rooms, and common areas through sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, and trash removal.
- Perform basic property upkeep, which may include pulling weeds and picking up trash.
- Interact and communicate with members, guests, and participants to build relationships, assist with equipment and facility requests or concerns, and provide information.
