About The Position

The Facility Equipment Technician maintains and repairs fitness equipment in a resort-style environment. The technician helps ensure club safety by promptly repairing nonfunctional equipment and performing preventative maintenance. The role also coordinates and communicates general repairs and facility maintenance with club management. On-the-job training is provided; no prior experience is necessary. The position contributes to providing members with a high-quality fitness experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Less than one year of experience in a related field.
• CPR/AED certification required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Ensure fitness-floor equipment operates safely.
• Keep records of equipment repairs performed.
• Maintain electrical components, audio/video systems, basic plumbing, and perform general building tasks.
• Perform preventative maintenance to keep equipment working.
• Update purchase orders, order repair parts, and create a timeframe for part delivery.
• Help the Department Head manage the budget.
• Coordinate and communicate general repairs and facility maintenance with club management.
