About The Position
Avenues Recovery Center is hiring a Facility Driver for its Bucks facility in Jamison, Pennsylvania. The driver transports clients for admissions, discharges, and appointments; delivers appointment documents and lab specimens; and provides peer-level support during transportation. The role also includes keeping the vehicle maintained, fueled, and ready, and assisting with custodial and maintenance duties when not transporting clients. This is a 1099 contract position with PRN, as-needed hours.
Requirements
- Current and valid state-issued driver's license.
- Strong communication and time-management skills.
- Dignified, respectable character reflecting recovery principles.
- Extensive knowledge of motor vehicle laws.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum of one year of experience in the treatment industry preferred.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the transportation schedule and safely transport clients for admissions, discharges, and appointments as necessary.
- Collect and deliver external appointment documentation and lab specimens as necessary.
- Engage clients at a peer-support level during transport and assist with luggage.
- Keep the vehicle well-maintained, fully fueled, and ready for use.
- Assist with custodial and maintenance duties when not actively transporting clients.
