Facility Driver - Contract Position
About The Position
Avenues Recovery Center is hiring a Facility Driver for its facility in Jamison, Pennsylvania. This is a 1099 contract position with PRN hours, as needed. The driver transports clients for admissions, discharges, and appointments; handles external appointment documentation and lab specimens; and provides peer-level support to clients during transportation. The role also includes keeping the vehicle maintained, fueled, and ready for use, and assisting with custodial and maintenance duties when not transporting clients. Avenues Recovery Center at Bucks is a community-based, residential-style outpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation program offering partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient services. The facility partners with Crosswalk Sober Living, whose sober living homes provide clients with a supervised residential setting while they participate in treatment.
Requirements
- Current and valid state-issued driver's license.
- Strong communication and time-management skills.
- Dignified, respectable character that reflects recovery principles.
- Extensive knowledge of motor vehicle laws.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- At least one year of experience in the treatment industry preferred.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the transportation schedule and safely transport clients for admissions, discharges, and appointments as needed.
- Collect and deliver external appointment documentation and lab specimens as necessary.
- Engage clients at a peer-support level during transport and assist with luggage.
- Ensure the vehicle is well-maintained, fully fueled, and ready for use at all times.
- Assist with custodial and maintenance duties when not actively transporting clients.
