About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring a Facility Driver for its Bucks facility in Jamison, Pennsylvania. This is a 1099 contract position with PRN hours, as needed. The driver transports clients for admissions, discharges, and appointments, and handles external appointment documentation and lab specimens. The role also includes providing peer-level engagement and luggage assistance during transport, maintaining the vehicle, and helping with custodial and maintenance duties when not transporting clients. Avenues Recovery Center at Bucks is a community-based, residential-style outpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation program offering partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient treatment. The facility partners with Crosswalk Sober Living, whose homes provide clients with a supervised residential setting while they participate in treatment.

Requirements

Current and valid state-issued driver's license.
Strong communication and time-management skills.
Dignified, respectable character reflecting recovery principles.
Extensive knowledge of motor vehicle laws.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
At least one year of experience in the treatment industry preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor the transportation schedule and safely transport clients for admissions, discharges, and appointments as necessary.
Collect and deliver external appointment documentation and lab specimens as necessary.
Engage clients at a peer-support level during transport and assist with luggage.
Ensure the vehicle is well-maintained, fully fueled, and ready for use at all times.
Assist with custodial and maintenance duties when not actively transporting clients.
