About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring Facility Drivers for its detox and residential treatment facility in Metairie, Louisiana. The role transports clients for admissions, discharges, and appointments, and includes delivering appointment documentation and lab specimens. Drivers engage with clients at a peer-support level during transport, assist with luggage, maintain the vehicle, and help with custodial and maintenance duties when not transporting.

Requirements

• Current and valid state-issued driver's license.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.
• Dignified, respectable character that reflects recovery principles.
• Extensive knowledge of motor vehicle laws.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of one year of experience in the treatment industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the transportation schedule and safely transport clients for admissions, discharges, and appointments as necessary.
• Collect and deliver external appointment documentation and lab specimens as necessary.
• Engage clients on a peer-support level during transport and assist with luggage.
• Ensure the vehicle is well-maintained, fully fueled, and ready for use at all times.
• Assist with custodial and maintenance duties when not actively engaged in transport.
