Facility Cleaning & Grounds Maintenance Technician
About The Position
Aviation Service Partners (ASP) is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Facility Cleaning & Grounds Maintenance Technician to support its aviation maintenance facility in Houston, Texas. The role maintains the cleanliness, appearance, and overall upkeep of the facility, including interior building cleaning, exterior landscaping, and general grounds maintenance. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, works independently, and assists with facility maintenance tasks as needed. The position includes routine janitorial work in offices, breakrooms, restrooms, hallways, common areas, hangars, and work areas; groundskeeping and landscaping; and general facility support. The technician is expected to follow safety procedures, report hazards and maintenance concerns, and help maintain a clean, organized, and professional workplace. ASP provides aviation maintenance and support services and emphasizes safety, quality, integrity, and operational excellence. Requirements
- Ability to operate basic cleaning and landscaping equipment safely.
- Dependable and punctual, with the ability to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a professional facility appearance.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting, and to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Willingness to perform a variety of tasks and assist wherever needed.
- Ability to follow instructions and comply with workplace safety requirements.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in janitorial services, landscaping, groundskeeping, or general facility maintenance is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Clean offices, breakrooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors throughout the facility.
- Empty trash receptacles and properly dispose of waste.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, countertops, and frequently touched surfaces.
- Maintain cleaning supplies and notify management when additional materials are needed.
- Assist with cleaning and organizing hangar and work areas while following applicable safety procedures.
- Mow lawns, edge sidewalks, and trim grass around buildings and landscaped areas.
- Maintain flower beds, shrubs, and other landscaping.
- Remove weeds, leaves, litter, and debris from exterior areas.
- Keep sidewalks, parking areas, entrances, and outdoor spaces clean and presentable.
- Operate basic landscaping equipment, including lawnmowers, weed eaters, and leaf blowers.
- Assist with seasonal landscaping and exterior maintenance projects.
- Perform minor facility upkeep and general labor tasks as assigned.
- Move furniture, equipment, and supplies when needed.
- Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and damaged equipment to management.
- Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Support additional facility projects and operational needs as directed.
