About The Position

The Facilities Maintenance Associate cleans office areas, production areas, restrooms, canteen areas, and outside areas in an efficient and safe manner. The role also includes maintaining good housekeeping, following safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions to a supervisor, and performing other duties as requested by the supervisor.

The employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, handle or feel objects, reach, balance, stoop, talk, and hear. The role requires close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee may be exposed to weather conditions when arriving at and departing from the corporate headquarters building; workplace noise is usually minimal. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Requirements

• General knowledge of chemicals and ability to read and understand SDS sheets.
• Time management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Properly clean and empty trash in all office areas throughout the facility.
• Properly clean all production-area floors throughout the facility.
• Properly sanitize and clean all restrooms throughout the facility.
• Clean and sanitize canteen areas and remove trash as needed.
• Strip and refinish floors semi-annually.
• Perform outside facility maintenance as needed, including trimming and mowing.
• Maintain good housekeeping in the work area.
• Follow all safety procedures and policies and advise the supervisor of unsafe conditions.
• Perform other duties as requested by the supervisor.
