About The Position

The Facilities Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing facility structures, equipment, and grounds across trades such as mechanical work and plumbing. The role performs trades work, including carpentry or painting, to construct, repair, or alter structures such as walls, roofs, and office fixtures. The technician conducts routine, periodic, or special inspections to identify maintenance and repair needs and help prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment. The role uses blueprints, sketches, layouts, drawings, and specifications, and requires knowledge of applicable standards or regulations; specific trade certifications may be required.

This is a six-month contractor position located in Plano, Texas. The schedule is Monday through Friday on a 9/80 work schedule, with every other Friday off. Stated shift hours are 7:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. Friday. The pay range is $22–$26 per hour on W-2.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least 4 years of prior relevant experience; alternatively, 2 years of post-secondary education or an associate degree with 1 to 2 years of prior related experience.
• Knowledge of applicable standards or regulations.
• Developing job knowledge and skills.
