About The Position

McKesson is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our facility. In this role, you will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot building systems, complete repairs, and respond to facility service requests. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience maintaining commercial or industrial facilities and can independently resolve a variety of building maintenance issues while ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Requirements

  • Typically requires 3+ years of related experience
  • Experience performing preventive maintenance and repairs on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, technical documents, manuals, and schematics.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical certification, vocational training, or trade school education in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, facilities maintenance, or a related field.
  • Experience working in a distribution center, warehouse, manufacturing, healthcare, or commercial facility environment.
  • Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS), Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), or work order management software.
  • Experience working with outside contractors and service vendors.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and facility safety practices.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections on building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair facility-related issues such as lighting, plumbing leaks, doors, fixtures, and equipment malfunctions.
  • Complete work orders in a timely manner while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
  • Perform general building repairs including painting, drywall repair, basic carpentry, and minor mechanical work.
  • Support office and facility operations through furniture moves, workspace reconfigurations, and meeting room setup.
  • Maintain maintenance records, inventory levels, and documentation related to repairs and inspections.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance activities and projects.
  • Participate in emergency response activities and support facility readiness efforts.
