Kelvion – Together, We Shape the Future The Role The Maintenance Technician performs activities concerned with maintaining the facilities by performing the following duties:

Requirements

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Must have electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, indoor, and outdoor building repair experience.

Nice To Haves

  • 3-5 years of experience in facilities is preferred.
  • Journeyman Electrical or HVAC license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Reports all activities and navigates proficiently through the maintenance CMMS system.
  • Preventive Maintenance and repair of HVAC systems
  • Preventive Maintenance and repair of Electrical systems and Generators.
  • Preventive Maintenance and repair of all facilities equipment.
  • Comply with all LOTO procedures.
  • Familiar with and comply with all Red Tag Permit Instructions per Insurance company.
  • Troubleshoots a variety building infrastructure systems.
  • Ensures preventative measures are satisfying safety standards.
  • Performs monthly inspections on all production equipment and replacement parts.
  • May collaborate with building management towards the renovation and improvement of facilities systems.
  • May report maintenance metrics to management.
  • Confers with department managers to coordinate monthly inspections.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license to be able to drive to different locations within the Port.
  • Regular attendance, ability to arrive at work punctually, ability to work on–site, ability to work overtime.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others, ability to deal respectfully with the public, customers, vendors, other employees, managers, and executive management.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ability to interchange with others in the department.
