About The Position

The Facilities Standards & Reliability Coordinator supports the Facilities Manager in maintaining a safe, organized, and reliable facility. The role has two primary areas of responsibility: administering facility-standard and 5S audits across the building, and coordinating the development and ongoing execution of the company's electrical maintenance program. Department managers remain responsible for maintaining their own areas. This role independently verifies standards, documents findings, coordinates corrective action with area owners, confirms closure in the field, and escalates unresolved conditions. It relies on consistency and credibility rather than authority over audited departments. For the electrical maintenance program, the coordinator maintains equipment inventories, asset records, maintenance history, and supporting documentation; schedules assessments and maintenance with internal personnel and outside contractors; and tracks deficiencies through documented closure. Hands-on electrical work is limited to activities within documented training, qualifications, and authorization. The role also coaches employees and department leaders on standards, tracks recurring issues, and recommends improvements to standards, layouts, or work practices. Consistent and reliable attendance is an essential job function.

  • Familiarity with 5S, audits, preventive maintenance, and corrective-action tracking.
  • Strong documentation and follow-through skills.

  • Sound judgment in distinguishing an immediate hazard from a routine finding.
  • Willingness and ability to complete company-provided NFPA 70B training after hire.

  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, temperature variation, coolant and lubricants, electrical hazards, and moving equipment.
  • Use of required PPE, including safety glasses and hearing protection in designated areas, plus task-specific protection as required.
  • Use of a camera or mobile device to document findings and a CMMS to maintain records.
  • Consistent and reliable attendance.

  • Maintain program records and provide regular updates on overdue work, unresolved deficiencies, and program progress.
  • Coach employees and department leaders on standards expectations and help sustain improvements after a finding is closed.
  • Track recurring issues and recommend improvements to standards, layouts, or work practices rather than re-auditing the same condition indefinitely.
  • Conduct audits across departments using approved facility standards, and set the audit schedule and coverage.
  • Assign documented deficiencies to responsible owners with completion dates, determine whether corrective actions are verified and closed, and escalate unresolved conditions, repeat findings, and immediate hazards directly to the Facilities Manager.
  • Recommend changes to approved facility standards, area expectations, or the written electrical maintenance program for approval by the Facilities Manager.
