About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the facilities manager coordinates repairs, maintains adequate parts inventory, oversees construction projects as assigned, and coordinates between the various BCHA locations to ensure proper maintenance.

Requirements

  • Current General Contractor’s License required
  • High degree of professional maturity, commitment to excellence, independence, flexibility, initiative, and time management skills are required.
  • The individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Nice To Haves

  • Current Master Electrician License preferred
  • Current HVAC Technician License preferred
  • Current Master Plumber License preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage all activities related to maintenance, including grounds work, drywall, roofing, electrical, light plumbing, and other repairs as necessary.
  • Inspect and initiate repairs as necessary.
  • Purchase materials and equipment required for maintenance repairs; ensure products and services are purchased cost-effectively.
  • Oversee construction projects as assigned.
  • Utilize personal vehicle to travel between BCHA facilities as required.
  • Monitor compliance with the preventive maintenance program for HVAC equipment; make routine rounds.
  • Attend staff and in-service meetings as scheduled.
  • Exhibit a thorough knowledge of maintenance, security, and safety policies of BCHA.
  • Survey all buildings and grounds routinely to monitor safety and repair needs of the facilities. Locate, inspect, troubleshoot, and make repairs as needed.
  • Manage and maintain a parts and supply inventory relevant to current projects as well as routine maintenance.
  • Maintain the necessary licenses needed to perform the facilities manager position effectively as required by the COO and CEO.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of BCHA’s mission statement.
  • Demonstrate a caring and helpful attitude when interacting with patients, vendors, and fellow employees. Strive to build cooperative partnerships with internal and external customers.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the COO or CEO.
