About The Position

The role of the Facilities Manager is to perform and maintain all facility maintenance to ensure proper safety, sanitation and mechanical functions of the facilities including both the interiors and exteriors of all buildings on the campus. This includes wall repair, painting, HVAC maintenance, cleaning, and daily custodial support such as replacing soap, toilet paper, and paper towels. The Facilities Manager will also fix potential safety hazards to avoid injuries and participate in the Sunday Facilities Team Member Rotation. Other duties include managing the maintenance budget, performing routine repair work and general maintenance for irrigation, painting, HVAC maintenance, janitorial duties, floor care, woodworking, electrical, and plumbing. The role also involves daily planning, organizing, directing, and controlling day-to-day room and facility set-up, and interacting with all levels of the church and the public with a focus on ministry opportunities and hospitality.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring ongoing Preventative and Deferred Maintenance programs for all major mechanical and electrical systems, grounds, buildings, and other areas.
  • Perform daily custodial support such as replacing soap, toilet paper, and paper towels.
  • Fix potential safety hazards to avoid injuries.
  • Participate in the Sunday Facilities Team Member Rotation.
  • Perform other related assignments given by the Director of Facilities.
  • Update, count, and replenish supplies and tools.
  • Maintain knowledge of maintenance programs for all equipment.
  • Understand permitting and testing for Fire Extinguishers, kitchen Vent Hood and chair lift, etc.
  • Operate a tractor with forklift, bucket, 0-turn/Stand-up Mowers and hedge trimmer.
  • Support the facilities team and help one another to accomplish tasks.
