About The Position
Canterbury Woods is hiring a full-time Facilities Manager for its Williamsville, NY campus. This is a 40-hour-per-week position scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The role oversees maintenance and grounds department scheduling and supports the maintenance department through staff supervision, budgeting, committee participation, and reporting. Flexibility to respond to emergencies at any time is required. Canterbury Woods is a continuing care retirement community serving older adults, offering independent living and a continuum of care.
Requirements
- At least two years of supervisory experience in a maintenance-related position.
- At least five years of experience in a healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of all aspects of maintenance.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain schedules for employees in the maintenance and grounds departments.
- Approve timecards for maintenance and grounds employees for payroll.
- Supervise maintenance department staff, including providing daily coaching, maintaining regular communication, and completing annual and probationary reviews.
- Perform routine inspections of personnel to ensure required job duties are being performed.
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and selecting maintenance personnel.
- Assist in developing the budget as needed and adhere to the departmental budget.
- Serve on maintenance committees as appropriate and provide written or oral reports of services and activities as required.
- Respond flexibly to emergencies at any time.
