About The Position

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is a mid-level position working under the supervision of the site Facilities Manager/Supervisor. The role supports mechanical systems and general maintenance of the commercial property, including daily maintenance scheduling and task completion. The technician is expected to perform service tasks with minimal supervision, inspect the premises, and report issues directly to a supervisor. Light driving duties may be required. The position supports a new, 100,000+ square-foot veterinary hospital providing specialty and emergency care. Work may need to be scheduled during off-hours to avoid interrupting medical staff, patients, and hospital operations; medical and client needs take priority over maintenance work. Maintenance team members participate in emergency response programs and are on call for building emergencies. Emergency response activities include fire evacuations and safety, hazardous-material remediation, weather emergencies that may require extended onsite coverage, and major equipment failures.
