About The Position

Castelion is seeking a skilled Facilities Equipment Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance and operational integrity of its facilities. The role performs preventive maintenance and troubleshoots production equipment—including CNC machines, furnaces, vacuum systems, and thermal chambers—as well as facility building systems such as compressed air, HVAC, gates, and rollup doors. The technician diagnoses and repairs electrical, mechanical, and controls issues down to the component level, including PLCs, servomotors, actuators, and gearboxes. The ideal candidate takes a proactive approach to problem-solving, prioritizes safety, and can work independently in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. The role may require access to classified information or restricted U.S. Government sites, systems, or information. If applicable, employment may depend on obtaining and maintaining required government clearance or authorization and meeting related citizenship or eligibility requirements. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 5 years of facilities-maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Hands-on experience repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems.
Ability to pass background checks as required by job-site regulations.
Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds unassisted.
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks involving bending, climbing ladders, grasping, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching.
Comfort working at heights up to 100 feet and using ladders or aerial lifts.
Ability to access applicable export-controlled information without additional export licensing; hiring is contingent on meeting this requirement.
If the position is designated as requiring government clearance or authorization, ability to obtain and maintain the required clearance or authorization and satisfy applicable citizenship or other eligibility requirements.

Nice To Haves

At least 10 years of facilities-maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Maintenance experience on CNC machines such as Doosan (DN Solutions), Haas, and manual lathes or mills.
Maintenance experience on electric furnaces or ovens, vacuum systems, and environmental thermal-testing chambers.
Familiarity with a CMMS platform such as eMaint or Maximo, or similar, and with Jira Ticketing system.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair critical equipment to ensure it remains in proper operating condition.
Perform weekly scheduled preventive maintenance on production and infrastructure equipment to prevent breakdowns and maintain reliability.
Promptly troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and controls-system issues down to the component level to minimize downtime.
Read and use equipment maintenance manuals, schematics, and drawings, including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic documents.
Open, track, and resolve work-order tickets through the internal CMMS system.
Assist in managing site-wide operations and maintenance programs as assigned.
Safely operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts when necessary.
