About The Position

The Facilities Maintenance Tech provides furniture installation, inspection, repair, and removal; conducts public area safety inspections; delivers furniture and materials; completes work orders; recycles; escorts contractors; maintains accurate and complete records; and operates vehicles to perform a variety of tasks. This is a generalized representation of positions in this class and is not intended to reflect essential functions under the ADA. Examples of competencies are typical of the majority of positions but may not apply to all positions.

Requirements

• Graduation from high school or equivalent.
• Experience in trade areas related to the position’s role may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
• Degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Nice To Haves

• Valid driver’s license.
• One year of experience in a variety of duties associated with building maintenance.
• Experience working around students.
• Experience with safety inspections.
• Experience with furniture installation, inspections, and repairs.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Previous work in a college or university.
• Experience working with diverse backgrounds and skill sets.
