About The Position

The Facilities Maintenance Coordinator conducts general maintenance and repairs on campus equipment and property structures. The role helps ensure electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems function properly to maintain a comfortable and operational workplace. The coordinator maintains facilities and common areas in good condition and provides external subcontractors with knowledge of local systems.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Trade school diploma or 1–2 years of experience in maintenance, plumbing, HVAC, or electrical work preferred.
• Team-oriented and eager to learn new skills.
• Self-driven, with effective oral and written communication skills.
• Effective brainstorming and problem-solving skills.
• Physically capable of climbing ladders.
• Capable of lifting objects weighing 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Microsoft Office experience, including Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• CPR certification.
• EPA certification.
• Experience with scissor lifts and comfort working at heights.

Responsibilities

• Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify issues.
• Repair faulty equipment.
• Maintain HVAC systems and building automation controls to provide climate control.
• Replace or repair building lighting as needed.
• Perform general maintenance, including painting, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, flooring, and plumbing work.
• Maintain the exterior condition of buildings and campus grounds.
• Maintain records and inventory for facilities equipment and supplies.
• Maintain the campus shuttle fleet, including fueling, oil changes, and basic safety operation, working with service providers as needed.
• Make workplace adjustments and physically move furniture and equipment on campus as needed.
• Respond to and complete building requests through the Archibus system in a timely manner.
• Follow OSHA and Nestlé safety standards during daily work.
• Support local design and construction projects as needed.
• Work weekends or overtime as needed.
• Maintain orderly work areas and keep campus floors free of slip and trip hazards.
