About The Position
Hiley Auto Group is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Assistant to support its stores in the Fort Worth and Arlington areas. The role assists a Maintenance Technician with facility services and repairs, while also handling routine maintenance tasks independently. Duties include basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs, HVAC preventive maintenance, light vehicle washing, maintaining tools and clean work areas, and documenting work through a mobile technology or tablet system. The position requires following OSHA workplace safety guidelines. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
Requirements
- Previous technical experience is considered but not required.
- Basic proficiency with tools.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Consistent work track record.
- Physical ability to work on your feet for an entire shift.
- Ability to climb ladders and regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to use smartphones or tablets to receive and manage digital work orders.
- Own basic tools such as a hammer, drill, screwdrivers, and wrenches.
- Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
- Works hard, communicates clearly, and is interested in a career with long-term potential.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Maintenance Technician with services and repairs.
- Perform routine tasks independently, including changing light bulbs and ceiling tiles and performing preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues, including replacing fixtures, outlets, switches, and breakers, and diagnosing circuitry issues safely in compliance with local codes.
- Lightly wash vehicles for customers.
- Maintain tools and keep work areas clean and organized.
- Complete work orders, track materials used, and log completed repairs using a mobile technology or tablet system.
- Follow OSHA guidelines for workplace safety.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
