About The Position

The Facilities Engineer assists with the duties necessary to keep equipment and facilities operating reliably and in good repair. The role performs routine general and preventative maintenance, equipment inspections, building repairs, and general construction work, and maintains required records.

Requirements

Valid driver's license.
Must be at least 21 years old.

Nice To Haves

High school education, GED, or equivalent.
Associate's or technical degree, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
Hospital and plant equipment experience.
General maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

Plan and perform routine general equipment repairs and services.
Participate in equipment installations as needed.
Alter and repair machinery, equipment, or facilities in accordance with basic skills and abilities, standard procedures, diagrams, or manufacturer instructions.
Plan and perform routine general building maintenance repairs and services.
Set up and install furniture.
Participate in major renovations, new construction, and alterations as needed.
Inspect equipment and perform required preventative maintenance and safety tests.
Correct problems encountered and promptly report equipment or system operation problems to the supervisor.
Contact outside service assistance for major equipment failures beyond the employee's skill level.
Maintain records of service cycles and other maintenance activities.
Maintain preventative maintenance records, reports, and files as required.
Maintain the tools and supplies necessary to perform duties.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
