Friendship Circle is a Social Integration program designed to assist adults with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities learn social skills and develop friendships. Each month we plan fun activities the participants can sign up to attend. These may include activities such as bowling, movies, walks in the park, going out to eat, playing games, community events, etc. Among other duties, the facilitators, in a company vehicle and/or their own vehicle, pick up participants who need transportation and take them to the activity. The facilitators then participate in the activity with the participants. After the activity is over the facilitator will take the participants who need transportation home. Other job duties are described below. Under supervision of the Program Manager, the Facilitator provides wide-ranging supervision and support to Consumers with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities. The objective of these services is to increase independence and to promote personal growth and integration within the community. The Facilitator will provide services to Consumers of Far Northern Regional Center. Consistent availability and reliable attendance with an ability to maintain a flexible work schedule within established program service hours is essential.
