This role involves being out in the community representing nonprofit organizations and talking with people about important causes such as disaster relief, support for children and families, animal welfare, human rights, and social justice. The fundraiser will learn about the partner nonprofit's work, share it with the public, and inspire people to become monthly donors. This is an active, non-desk job that requires spending most of the shift outdoors, walking, standing, and engaging in face-to-face conversations regardless of weather conditions. The position is goal-oriented, focusing on inspiring individuals to become monthly donors. While paid training, ongoing coaching, and team support are provided, fundraising can be challenging, involving frequent rejections and conversations that do not result in donations. Performance will be evaluated based on the ability to engage the public and sign up new donors. The ideal candidate is resilient, motivated by clear goals, open to feedback, and finds satisfaction in improving results.
