This role involves being out in the community representing nonprofit organizations and talking with people about important causes such as disaster relief, support for children and families, animal welfare, human rights, and social justice. The fundraiser will learn about the nonprofit's work, share it with the public, and inspire people to become monthly donors. This is an active, non-desk job that requires spending most of the shift outdoors, walking, standing, and talking to people face-to-face in various weather conditions. It is a goal-oriented fundraising position where performance is evaluated based on engaging the public and signing up new donors. The company provides paid training, ongoing coaching, and support, but acknowledges that fundraising can be challenging with frequent rejections.
