About The Position

Responsible for performing routine maintenance procedures and troubleshooting equipment maintenance problems. Assists in other areas of facilities and grounds maintenance as directed, and helps train and orient existing and new staff. Makes recommendations for process improvements and participates in lean initiatives and departmental projects. Performs required preventative and corrective maintenance work orders and troubleshoots facility equipment failures involving electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or HVAC systems. Maintains and services equipment and systems such as ice makers, pneumatic tube carriers, HVAC systems, and doors and automatic openers, and assists with boiler plant operation. Maintains building finishes by performing drywall finishing, painting, staining, repairs, and application of wall coverings.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent GED.
Valid state driver's license required.
Four years of previous work experience in maintenance or a related field required.

Nice To Haves

Two-year certificate or degree from a vocational or technical institute preferred.
