About The Position
Performs skilled duties primarily as an HVAC technician based on experience and certification. Performs routine maintenance, troubleshoots equipment maintenance problems, and assists with facilities and grounds maintenance as directed. Assists with training and orientation of existing and new staff, recommends process improvements, participates in lean initiatives, and works on departmental projects. Performs required preventative and corrective maintenance work orders and troubleshoots facility equipment failures involving electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or HVAC systems. Maintains and services equipment and systems such as ice makers, pneumatic tube carriers, HVAC systems, doors and automatic openers, and assists with boiler plant operation. Maintains building finishes through drywall finishing, painting, staining, repair, and application of wall coverings.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent GED.
- Valid state driver’s license.
- Journeyman's Card in HVAC or an Associate’s Degree in HVAC.
- EPA refrigerant certification.
- Four years of combined experience as a maintenance technician and/or commercial HVAC technician.
Nice To Haves
- Two years of technical training from a vocational or technical school.
