About The Position

Provide refrigeration and HVAC maintenance, repair and support for assigned service calls. The technician travels independently to assigned stores, performs preventive maintenance and repairs, maintains parts and service records, and communicates with store personnel and other technicians.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 3 years of proven refrigeration/HVAC experience and satisfactory overall performance.
EPA Type 2 Certification.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Valid driver's license, which must be maintained.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime when necessary.
Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods; sit while driving; lift and carry up to 70 pounds; push and pull; climb ladders; bend, squat and kneel; and work in different temperatures inside and outside the store.

Nice To Haves

Experience reading engineering drawings, manuals and schematics.

Responsibilities

Drive independently to assigned stores on a daily basis.
Assist with and perform preventive maintenance tasks and procedures on buildings and equipment.
Troubleshoot issues and repair equipment.
Perform compressor, large motor and component replacement.
Maintain an accurate and organized inventory of parts.
Safely operate equipment, vehicles, powered industrial trucks and aerial lifts.
Clean and maintain an assigned company service vehicle.
Communicate orally with store personnel about proper equipment use in relation to repeat calls and overtime.
Use the company email system to send and receive messages.
Complete repair, labor, parts purchasing and usage documentation accurately and promptly.
Comply with department and company policies and procedures.
Assist other skilled trade technicians with repairs as requested.
