About The Position

Works as a member of the Axle Production department to assist in the operation of machinery in the axle Production Area. The role operates MIG welding machinery in the Fabrication area, performs quality checks to ensure products meet tolerance, completes paperwork and reports documenting builds against work-order specifications, and complies with safety standards and regulations. The description also includes overseeing the development of successful leaders.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited school.
• Pass the Hendrickson weld test – 2G.
• Ability to learn and physically rotate through required job stations and tasks within the established rotation timetable.
• Ability to use all personal protective equipment issued by Hendrickson.
• Mathematical skill.
• Basic blueprint-reading ability.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a continuously improving environment.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work in a diverse production environment.
• Team skills.
• Ability to pay close attention to minor details to produce a superior-quality product.

Responsibilities

• Operate all MIG welding machinery in the Fabrication area.
• Perform quality checks with calibrated digital micrometers, Veneer Calipers, and go/no-go gauges to ensure products are within tolerance.
• Complete paperwork and reports documenting builds according to work-order specifications.
• Comply with all safety standards and regulations.
• Oversee growing successful leaders.
