About The Position

The Fabricator is responsible for interpreting customer requirements from supplied drawings or prints and fabricating materials to meet specifications. The work should consistently support safety, quality, and on-time delivery goals. The position contributes to production improvements, including reducing job processing time, scrap, and remakes, and works with Quality and Engineering to maintain accurate data flow and reduce returns.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.

Nice To Haves

• Previous sheet metal fabrication experience.
• Experience reading and interpreting mechanical drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Basic CNC experience.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret customer prints.
• Use measuring equipment, such as calipers, to verify dimensions.
• Set up and operate sheet metal fabrication equipment, including manual and powered shears, turret presses, bending and forming equipment, and power sanding and deburring machines.
• Perform basic cleaning, lubrication, and adjustment of machinery as required.
• Escalate safety, quality, or on-time delivery issues to the production coordinator.
• Maintain a clean work environment throughout the day.
• Learn new processes to expand competency and increase organizational flexibility.
• Contribute to problem solving and continuous improvement efforts.
