About The Position

nVent Management Company is seeking an ambitious and skilled Fabricator to operate and maintain CNC machines and support day-to-day production. The role includes precision machine operation using computer downloads for program-controlled operations, machine setup for batch production, tooling management, and preventative maintenance. The Fabricator will troubleshoot minor machine issues, coordinate service to minimize downtime, and provide backup support to the Fabricating Supervisor. The position emphasizes quality, customer focus, personal responsibility, and contributing to a positive work environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• At least two years of machine operation experience.
• Related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines accurately using computer downloads for program-controlled operations.
• Stay current with CNC operations training.
• Change out tooling and monitor usage to schedule sharpening or replacement, improving machine performance and maintaining part quality.
• Perform daily, weekly, and periodic maintenance as directed by the preventative maintenance system.
• Set up machines for batch parts runs for yourself and others.
• Troubleshoot minor machine problems and coordinate service to minimize downtime.
• Provide backup support to the Fabricating Supervisor for day-to-day production operations.
