About The Position

Jet Pipe Industries, a subsidiary of Kiewit Corporation, is a full-service distributor and fabricator of commercial and residential fire protection systems. We’re known for our commitment to quality, state-of-the-art equipment, and a dedicated team that helps keep communities safe. We’re looking for an entry-level Fab Shop Helper to support our skilled craft team in daily fabrication operations. This position is hands-on, fast-paced, and offers opportunities to learn new skills while contributing to the production of high-quality fire protection materials.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
• Strong communication skills with supervisors and team members
• Ability to safely and efficiently use hand tools, power tools, and layout tools
• Willingness to learn and take direction
• Ability to meet all physical requirements, including lifting and repetitive motion
• Ability to work in an indoor/outdoor fabrication environment in all weather conditions
• Willingness to work overtime as needed
• Commitment to following all safety policies and performing additional duties as assigned

Responsibilities

• Assist skilled craft workers with setup, preparation, and daily tasks
• Follow instructions from experienced team members and supervisors to support shop operations
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Read and understand equipment instructions, safety rules, and warning signage
• Learn to observe equipment and systems to identify potential hazards
• Always prioritize safety in every task
