About The Position

As a Fab & Install Electrician, you will fabricate and install conduit, cable, breakers, junction boxes, control panels, and structural components in an operating industrial manufacturing facility. You will pull, terminate, and splice cable and wire, and move, assemble, and install machinery and equipment of all types and sizes. The role is located in Columbia, South Carolina, is 100% onsite, and reports to the Fabrication and Installation Manager.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Five years of related experience in industrial construction or fabrication.
• Demonstrated basic mechanical skills in fabrication, cable installation, and terminations.
• NFPA 70E qualified.
• Capable of respirator qualification.

Responsibilities

• Fit, cut, bend, grind, thread, and torch metal and other materials in accordance with engineered drawings and specifications.
• Assemble conduit, cable tray, bus duct, machinery, panels, breakers, switchgear, and structural members in fabrication shop and plant locations.
• Measure, bend, cut, and fit small- and large-bore conduit, including 3- and 4-inch conduit.
• Pull and terminate cable, wire, and fiber-optic cable.
• Transport, rig, and hoist materials and equipment.
• Read and interpret drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Fabricate and install conduit, cable, breakers, junction boxes, control panels, and structural components.
• Pull, terminate, and splice cable and wire; move, assemble, and install machinery and equipment.
