F&B On Mountain Janitor
About The Position
The F&B On Mountain Janitor services and maintains on-mountain restrooms and dining areas to ensure they are clean and neat. The position maintains clean, safe, and functional public restrooms at facilities including Powderhouse, the Top of Lift 3 comfort station, and Dante’s. Duties also include snow and trash removal, keeping restaurant dining areas clean, and light facility maintenance. This is a seasonal position scheduled from 10/26/26 to 4/5/27; dates may change based on applicant availability and business needs. The role includes a free season pass for the employee and dependents. Hiring takes place on a rolling basis, and the position remains open until filled.
Requirements
- Be able to ski or snowboard intermediate-to-expert-level runs.
- Work safely in snowy, icy, and cold mountain conditions.
- Prioritize cleaning tasks efficiently during peak guest hours.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards with attention to detail.
- Perform minor repairs, such as fixing fixtures, replacing light bulbs, unclogging drains, and basic troubleshooting.
- Safely operate cleaning tools and properly handle cleaning supplies and chemicals.
- Identify and report hazards such as wet floors, broken fixtures, and icy walkways.
- Have the physical stamina to stand, walk, lift, and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Maintain a professional and courteous presence around guests.
- Coordinate with maintenance staff, supervisors, and other resort employees.
- Have dependable attendance in early mornings.
- Lift, carry, and move materials, equipment, or supplies weighing up to 30–50 pounds.
- Perform snow removal, including shoveling and clearing snow and ice from decks, stairs, walkways, and entrances.
- Work safely on wet, icy, or uneven surfaces while maintaining balance and awareness.
- Tolerate cold temperatures, wind, and changing mountain weather.
- Push, pull, and maneuver cleaning carts, trash bins, and snow-removal tools.
- Perform repetitive hand and arm motions for cleaning and maintenance tasks.
- Climb stairs and navigate multi-level facilities throughout a shift.
Responsibilities

- Monitor and maintain toiletries and hygiene products.
- Remove trash and dispose of waste.
- Sweep and mop floors as necessary.
- Report problems to the immediate supervisor.
- Report potential safety hazards to the immediate supervisor.
- Help maintain general cleanliness in Powderhouse and Dante’s dining areas.
- Perform light maintenance in facilities.
- Assist with snow removal when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
