About The Position

Legends Global is seeking a full-time F&B Catering Assistant Manager to oversee catering event execution, staff management, scheduling coordination, and administrative operations at the LA Memorial Coliseum. This operations-focused position oversees events from pre-event planning through post-event closeout, ensuring published Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) are executed accurately and service standards are consistently met. The role focuses on operational execution, staffing, administration, and event closeout—not selling, booking, negotiating catering business, lead generation, or catering contract negotiation. The assistant manager works closely with the Premium Coordinator, culinary team, Staffing Department, Director of Premium, Finance, Operations, and other departments. Responsibilities include coordinating BEO changes and updated event requirements, overseeing staffing needs, tracking consumption, maintaining accurate event documentation, and completing financial reconciliation. This is a full-time position, not an on-call or event-by-event assignment.

  • Experience supervising at least 15 employees.
  • Strong administrative, scheduling, and financial reconciliation experience, including placements for staff.
  • Experience executing BEOs and coordinating event changes across departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and POS systems.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Availability to work a full-time schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

  • Supervise and develop a team of at least 15 union and non-union employees, including scheduling oversight and performance management.
  • Partner with the Staffing Department to establish staffing levels, employee call times, schedules, and distribution of parking and reporting information.
  • Use Reserve and other designated systems to maintain accurate BEOs, event records, consumption updates, and pre- and post-event notes.
  • Reconcile catering event payments, review consumption records, and coordinate with Finance to resolve discrepancies.
