Eye Care Clinic Assistant
About The Position
In a positive and cheerful manner, support and work alongside doctors to provide an outstanding patient experience. Perform accurate preliminary testing while establishing an easy rapport with patients to reduce anxiety, and use relationships with patients to help instill confidence in the medical and surgical care they will receive. The position is 3/4 time, defined as 30–39 hours per week. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.; it may vary according to patient schedules and clinic needs. The role is located at PCLI Albuquerque in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and pays $22.18–$23.59 per hour. The position reports to the Site Manager.
Requirements
- Pleasant, caring, and helpful attitude.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Ability to work with a team to set and achieve common goals.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, including legible handwriting.
- Keyboarding ability and comfort using Microsoft Word.
- Ability to remain composed and professional under stressful circumstances.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Responsibilities
- Support and work alongside doctors to provide an outstanding patient experience.

- Push equipment around the clinic.
- Push wheelchairs and help patients transfer in and out of exam chairs.
