Nissan Express Service Technician
About The Position
Crowley Nissan is seeking a dependable, motivated Express Service Technician for its service department in Bristol, Connecticut. The role focuses on routine vehicle maintenance, inspections, and quality service on Nissan vehicles and other makes as assigned. The technician will complete maintenance work and related documentation to manufacturer and dealership standards, communicate vehicle conditions and work progress to service advisors and technicians, follow safety procedures, and maintain a clean work environment. Training programs are available to help develop maintenance and service skills. This is a full-time position with availability during dealership operating hours. Overtime opportunities may be available based on business needs. The expected pay range is $18.00 to $20.00 per hour, with starting pay determined by relevant experience, skills, training, and qualifications.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Basic knowledge of automotive maintenance and the safe use of hand tools and shop equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to follow instructions, work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and contribute to a team.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform automotive maintenance activities throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and greater weights with assistance or equipment.
- Ability to safely operate shop equipment and tools.
Nice To Haves
- Previous express service, quick-lube, tire shop, or automotive maintenance experience.
- Automotive vocational or technical school training.
- Previous dealership experience.
- Familiarity with Nissan vehicles and multipoint inspection procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform oil and filter changes and other routine maintenance on Nissan vehicles and other makes as assigned.
- Rotate tires, check tire condition, and adjust tire pressures according to manufacturer specifications.
- Complete maintenance work and repair order documentation accurately and efficiently according to manufacturer and dealership standards.
- Perform multipoint inspections and document maintenance needs or concerns for service advisor review.
- Check and replenish fluids as specified; inspect and replace air filters, cabin filters, and wiper blades as authorized.
- Maintain quality workmanship, efficient service, and careful handling of customer vehicles.
- Communicate clearly with service advisors and technicians regarding vehicle condition, work progress, and additional concerns.
- Follow dealership safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
- Participate in Nissan and dealership training programs to develop maintenance and service skills.
