About The Position

Ford of Latham is hiring an Automotive Lube Technician for a full-time, on-site position in Latham, New York. The technician performs vehicle maintenance in accordance with dealer and factory standards, including minor maintenance and vehicle inspections. The role includes communicating repair and maintenance recommendations to the service advisor liaison. The position reports to the service manager and includes a schedule with Saturdays. The dealership is part of Lithia & Driveway, a group of more than 300 dealerships, and notes opportunities to pursue short- and long-term career goals. The estimated annual compensation is $35,000 to $65,000; actual pay may vary based on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, bonus or commission, and location.

Requirements

New York State Inspector's License.
Basic mechanical understanding of an automobile.
Ability to operate a wide variety of cars, light trucks, and vans with manual and automatic transmissions.
A team-oriented approach and focus on providing exemplary customer service.
Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in the state of residence.
High school graduate or equivalent.
At least 18 years of age.

Nice To Haves

Experience as an express or quick lube technician is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform assigned vehicle maintenance in accordance with dealer and factory standards.
Perform minor maintenance, such as changing engine oil and filters.
Complete vehicle maintenance inspections, including tires, brakes, and fluid levels.
Communicate appropriate vehicle repair and maintenance recommendations to the service advisor liaison.
Operate cars, light trucks, and vans with manual and automatic transmissions.
