Express Automotive Service Technician
About The Position
Lexus of Cool Springs is hiring a full-time Express Automotive Service Technician to provide fast, expert service and outstanding customer care. The technician performs minor services, including lube, oil, and filter changes, and conducts multi-point inspections in accordance with dealership and manufacturer procedures. The role includes identifying and documenting legitimate service and repair needs, preparing estimates, communicating recommendations to the Service Advisor, and assisting other technicians with light mechanical work. The technician also helps maintain a clean, professional shop and equipment calibrated to Lexus standards. Applicants must be at least 19 years old and able to pass pre-employment testing, including background checks, an MVR check, and a drug test. Applicants must also have a valid driver's license for at least three years. The role requires standing and walking for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds, along with consistent use of personal protective equipment.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the service team to deliver efficient, expert care on customer vehicles.
- Perform minor services, including lube, oil, and filter changes, following dealership and manufacturer procedures.
- Conduct thorough multi-point inspections on Customer Pay, Warranty, and Extended Warranty vehicles.
- Identify legitimate service and repair needs and document recommendations in the Multi-Point Inspection (MPI) report.
- Prepare accurate estimates for additional work and communicate findings to the Service Advisor for guest approval.
- Assist fellow technicians with light mechanical duties as needed.
- Communicate with the Service Manager, Service Consultants, and technicians to meet Lexus time standards and guest expectations.
- Keep the shop clean and equipment calibrated to Lexus standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
